Developer cleanup
Reclaim project disk space without blind-deleting folders.
Developer machines accumulate dependency directories, build output, caches and test reports. Deleting the wrong folder can cost hours. RamBeacon starts with explicit scope, measures bounded folders, and presents artifacts with protection state before anything moves.
The scan is read-only until you approve a target in the cleanup preview. Approved files are moved to the Windows Recycle Bin. There is no permanent-deletion fallback.
Explicit scope, bounded scans
Choose specific project directories, or opt in to a fixed or removable drive scan. Full-drive scans skip Windows, ProgramData, AppData and common tooling stores to avoid wandering into the operating system.
Folder measurement is bounded and project detection is deterministic: Node.js, MERN, React, Next.js, Vite, React Native, Flutter, Angular, Nuxt and JavaScript/TypeScript projects are recognized from project evidence.
- Selected folders or opt-in fixed/removable drives.
- Known artifact rules with low/review protection.
- Search, filter, sort and multi-select review.
- Per-target revalidation before moving anything.
A storage map you can actually inspect
The full-screen interactive map switches between 2D treemap and 3D projection, with size-height extrusion and red/yellow/green heat coloring. It makes a 1.8 GB node_modules directory immediately visible instead of hiding it in a list.
The map is a review surface, not an action surface. Selection still flows through the cleanup preview and its path-bound checks.
RamBeacon does not permanently delete artifacts and does not decide that an artifact is disposable for you.
Safe by construction
Protected paths, project boundaries and file identity are revalidated immediately before a Recycle Bin operation. A target that changed or moved after review is rejected rather than guessed at.
This is particularly useful before archiving an old project, after a dependency migration, or when a drive is filling with build output from several stacks.
