Question 1

What does RamBeacon actually do?

Accepted Answer

RamBeacon is a Windows desktop utility for monitoring CPU, memory, disk and GPU, exploring processes and their relationships, investigating memory growth and background activity, reviewing startup entries, and preparing cleanup actions that you explicitly approve. It is not an antivirus, an overclocker, or an automatic memory booster.

Question 2

Which Windows versions are supported?

Accepted Answer

The desktop application targets Windows 10 and Windows 11 on x64. It requires the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which is included with current Windows installations. Other Windows editions, ARM64 and older versions are not currently claimed as supported.

Question 3

Does RamBeacon clean up memory automatically?

Accepted Answer

No. RamBeacon never closes or terminates a process because memory pressure crosses a threshold, because a preset recommends it, because a notification fires, or because an AI response suggests it. Cleanup requires an approval preview bound to the exact process identity. Force termination has a separate second confirmation.

Question 4

What is the difference between annual and lifetime licensing?

Accepted Answer

An annual license is a one-time payment for one year of entitlement, counted from the successful payment date. A lifetime license is a perpetual entitlement to the defined v1 edition, subject to the license agreement. Neither plan is a recurring subscription and neither renews automatically.

Question 5

How many devices can I activate?

Accepted Answer

Each RamBeacon Pro license currently allows up to two active device activations. You can deactivate a device you no longer use from the account area or from the desktop activation flow, then activate another device. The limit is enforced atomically on the server.

Question 6

Can I transfer my license to someone else?

Accepted Answer

License transfers are disabled in the current policy pending owner approval. If the policy changes, the transfer endpoint will require authorization and will record an audit event. Contact support if you have a specific situation that needs review.

Question 7

What happens if I reinstall Windows or replace a device?

Accepted Answer

If the device still has an active activation, deactivate it first using the same device identifier. If Windows was reinstalled and the identifier changed, sign in to your account and deactivate the old activation from the license details page. If you cannot access the account, use the purchase-recovery flow with the email used at checkout.

Question 8

Does the annual license renew automatically?

Accepted Answer

No. Annual licenses are one-time payments and do not auto-renew. When the annual term ends, paid features stop unless you purchase a new license. The desktop app does not charge a card, and the website does not store card data.

Question 9

What happens when an annual license expires?

Accepted Answer

The license status becomes expired, new activations and validations are refused, and the desktop client should stop treating the lease as proof of entitlement after the documented offline grace period. Existing local monitoring data remains on your device; you can review the license status in your account.

Question 10

How does offline activation work?

Accepted Answer

After a successful online activation or validation, the server issues a short-lived Ed25519-signed lease. The desktop application verifies the signature with an embedded public key and may operate offline for the configured grace period, currently seven days. Immediate revocation cannot be enforced while a client remains offline, so the server remains authoritative when connectivity returns.

Question 11

What information does the licensing backend receive?

Accepted Answer

Checkout receives your email, optional name, selected product and currency, and the payment references needed to verify the purchase. Activation receives a privacy-preserving hash of the device identifier, a device label you provide, the product edition and app version. We do not collect raw hardware fingerprints, process names, file paths, or local monitoring history.

Question 12

Does RamBeacon include telemetry?

Accepted Answer

The desktop app does not send local monitoring history to the website. The website analytics abstraction is disabled unless explicitly configured and consent requirements are met. Optional AI analysis uses OpenRouter only when you enable it and provide a key stored in Windows Credential Manager.

Question 13

Is cleanup safe?

Accepted Answer

Cleanup is approval-bound and deliberately conservative, but no tool can guarantee that closing an application will not discard unsaved work. RamBeacon shows warnings and a preview, revalidates process identity immediately before acting, and never touches protected processes. Developer Cleanup moves approved artifacts to the Windows Recycle Bin and has no permanent-deletion fallback.

Question 14

Is RamBeacon available on the Microsoft Store?

Accepted Answer

Not currently. Distribution is through the Windows installer described on the download page. Microsoft Store packaging, code signing, and automatic updates are separate release work and are not claimed as completed.

Question 15

What is the refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Because RamBeacon is digital software delivered immediately, refunds are handled case by case for failed delivery, duplicate purchases, or inability to activate caused by our systems. Your statutory rights still apply. A separate voluntary cooling-off period is not promised. See the refund policy for the full process.

Question 16

How do I get support?

Accepted Answer

Use the contact form and choose the licensing or support topic. Include the order ID or license hint — never the full license key, payment credentials, or private system data. Support is provided on a reasonable-effort basis for activation and product issues; unlimited support is not included with a license.
